3rd
Annual Lincroft Village Yard Sale, April 28, 2007
The Lincroft Village Green Association (LVGA)
sponsored its third Annual Community Yard Sale on
April 28, 2007, to benefit the LINCROFT VILLAGE
GREEN PARK, located on the corner of Newman
Springs and Phalanx Roads. All registration and donation
proceeds received will supplement upgrades to the
Village Green. New this year, residents had
the option to donate goods in addition to hosting
their own yard sale at their homes. Donated goods
were sold at the park on yard sale day by LVGA volunteers.
Congratulations to the managers and thank you to
the volunteers for the Community Yard Sale! The sale
at the Village Green netted $2,940 while home-based
sales added an additional $840. It was gratifying
to see the flurry of activity at the park and the
generous and cheerful attitude of so many people working
together. There were over 50 volunteers that helped
accumulate, set up, organize and sell the items donated
by our community. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lincroft
Fire Department conducted a bake sale at the Village
Green during the sale. There were 9 Boy Scouts from
Troop 100 that volunteered to help on the day of the
sale and another 7 local teenagers that camped out
to act as security overnight.
We also want to thank Middletown Parks and Recreation
Department for their support and cooperation, especially
Gregg Silva and Mike McCoy. We are grateful to Hitmen
Cleanouts Company for debris removal and Pack
Rat for donating a storage pod for the sale.
