County Route 520 in 2008:

As of mid-2008, The Monmouth County Engineering Department and the CR520 Task Force are continuing to refine the proposals for improvements to CR520 between Swimming River Road and Hurleys Lane. Monmouth County Engineer Joseph Ettore, presented the proposals to the Township Committee in a closed-door executive session in March, 2008. However, the LVGA Task Force members felt that there were serious pedestrian safety issues that the Task Force had not addressed. The LVGA submitted a letter to the Township Committee, outlining these problems and suggesting improvements that the LVGA feels should be included with the Task Force's proposals.
